As long as I can remember there has been debate on how to clean and lubricate axles. With or without grease? And if yes, what to grease and what not? Through the years I have found my way, partially guided by the knowledge past on by my father and an engineering degree but even more so by common sense and a fetish for clean gear.
"What is the best method for cleaning Nylon/Cordura bags?"
Our advice (based on our personal experience) is to soak Nylon/Cordura bags for one night in lukewarm water with a little detergent or with Soap Nuts. We found no method to be more effective and safe as soaking for a longer period.
